Who We Are
Dr. Faisal Mawri
Dr. Faisal Mawri is a pediatric emergency medical doctor, with a focus on treating the individual and families holistically. In 2013, he started the first of three pediatric and children urgent care clinics in Grand Blanc, and grew to add two others in Davison and Flint. Everyday Dr. Mawri saw parents bringing their children in for treatments, but were often forgetting to take care of themselves. He knew he wanted to help and provide wellness options for parents.
As a result, in 2021, he opened three IV hydration clinics called Nectar MD in Davison, Rochester, and Troy. This was his first step into the health and wellness space. These clinics were a way to provide his patients with alternative options to traditional healthcare and still deliver reliable and fast results that they could trust.
In 2023, to continue with the wellness trend, Dr. Mawri opened Cosmetic and Laser Center of Michigan as a way to give his patients another avenue to address their health concerns. Cosmetic and Laser Center takes the health and wellness treatments a step beyond the IV clinics by focusing more on the aesthetics services. In addition to the standard aesthetic offerings of injectables and facials, Dr. Mawri’s team focuses on body contouring services, skin resurfacing procedures and full treatment plans specifically designed for each patient to help them achieve their desired outcome.
Dr. Mawri has always had a passion for giving patients the best treatment possible. That means working together, devising a plan, and focusing on health as a team. This is why he has been so successful with his practices and why his patients come back to see him time and time again!
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Mawri is a Clinical Assistant Professor at several nearby hospitals including, Department of Pediatrics & Human Development, Michigan State University; Hurley Medical Center; McLaren Health Care; and Genesys Health System.
Dr. Mawri did his postdoctoral training at Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine (pediatric internship) and Michigan State University where he was the Chief Pediatric Resident. Additionally, he attended the University of Michigan Medical School where he was a Pediatric Emergency Medical Fellow.
Early in his career, Dr. Mawri focused his research on understanding the emotional trauma brought on by head injuries in children and educating parents on ways to prevent those injuries. Through that research, Dr. Mawri published several medical papers, received multiple grants, and was recognized with three awards for his work.
Calli McCaig
Licensed Esthetician
With over seven years of healthcare experience and a career that also includes working in a hospital setting, Calli has developed a deep understanding of the importance of both medical care and self-care. Her passion for helping others feel their best inspired her to pursue her Esthetician’s license in 2022 and expand into advanced aesthetics as a Laser Technician.
At the Cosmetic and Laser Center of Michigan, Calli specializes in providing safe, effective, and customized treatments. She particularly enjoys performing laser services and facials, with dermaplaning being another close favorite. Her goal is to combine her medical background with her aesthetics expertise to deliver results that not only enhance her clients’ skin but also boost their confidence and overall well-being.
Calli’s philosophy is rooted in the belief that true beauty comes from feeling comfortable in your own skin. She takes pride in educating clients about their options, guiding them toward treatments and products that best fit their unique needs.
Outside of the clinic, Calli leads a balanced lifestyle. She loves spending time with her cat, Juice, staying active, and making the most of every moment with family and friends.
Taylor Woodall
Registered Nurse
Taylor has been an RN since 2017. She started at McLaren, specializing in Orthopedics, worked her way to Inpatient Rehab, and then landed in Cardiac Stepdown. Taylor’s favorite service to receive is lip filler and Dysport. She LOVES to administer IVs and provide IM injections. In her free time, she loves to read and hang out with her dog and family.
Tayler Szymkowiak
Registered Nurse
Tayler graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in May of 2021. She has worked as a patient care technician and registered nurse in level 4 and level 1 trauma centers in the emergency department for 8 years. She has been working with IV Nectar MD for over 2 years and is also a nurse at a local cancer center, a wound care nurse, and works at a prison doing pre/post op nursing for certain surgical procedures. She absolutely loves being a nurse and being able to see and do a little bit of everything, and with all her experience within different areas of the field, it helps her grow to become a better nurse every day. In her free time, she is a wife; she and her husband got married in May of 2022. She is a dog mom to a black lab (Layla) and a lab husky mix (Link) who is a rescue. She loves playing co-ed volleyball, working out, traveling, and doing anything outdoors!
Amanda Cavazos
Registered Nurse Injector
With over 20 years of nursing experience and five years as a skilled nurse injector, she brings a unique blend of medical expertise and aesthetic artistry to every treatment. Originally from Flint, Michigan, her passion for beauty began at a young age, growing up in a salon where her mother worked as a cosmetologist. Surrounded by the world of beauty and self-care, she developed an early appreciation for the techniques and transformations that enhance confidence.
Today, she seamlessly combines her clinical knowledge with her lifelong love of aesthetics to provide safe, personalized, and results-driven treatments. She is especially passionate about helping clients feel their best, with lip filler being her favorite service to perform.
She thrives in the med spa environment, where she continues to expand her skills, learn new techniques, and work alongside a supportive and talented team that shares her commitment to excellence and compassion. Outside of the treatment room, she enjoys spending time with her three children. In her free time, you can find her dancing, practicing yoga, working out, shopping, snowboarding, watching true crime documentaries, or tending to her garden.
